Adults and children alike will be able to celebrate the summer at Bishop’s Stortford Town Council’s exciting summer events; enjoy an outdoor cinema or theatre or learn a new circus skill in a big top!  

Circus Skills Workshops

Come and learn how to balance, spin and juggle with professional circus artists at Circus Pazaz at Sworders Field on 22 August! Perhaps you've always wanted to learn to juggle, or wondered how you can spin a plate on a stick. Or perhaps you would like to try your skills with balancing on a tight wire or unicycle? Join professional circus artists in their big top tent to learn all these skills and more!

Outdoor Cinema

Join us for a unique Outdoor Cinema experience with mouth-watering food and drinks and some of the greatest films ever made and recent releases. Three family friendly films will be shown on 1 August on Sworders Field. The price of a ticket includes a headset and a deckchair.

Outdoor Theatre

Watch David Walliams “Mr Stink” come to life in the Monastery Gardens on 28 August. Two performances will be performed by a professional touring theatre company. You can also treat yourself from the food and drink vendors- sit back, relax and enjoy the show! Performances are at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. 

Mr Stink is about a daydreaming schoolgirl Chloe who befriends a stinky homeless man Mr Stink and his dog in the local park. In uncovering Mr Stink's sad past, she ends up on a journey that takes her to Number 10 Downing Street and eventually brings her dysfunctional family together.
