
Bishop’s Stortford Town Council has officially adopted a far-reaching Town Plan. The plan was presented to the Mayor at a ceremony held at the Rhodes Arts Complex on 10th March. It builds on the responses by over 4000 residents to a questionnaire issued to residents late in 2008, and is being launched in tandem with the 2020 vision created by the District Council. The Plan sets out specific actions which the Council will take to enhance the town focussing on the six themes of
Many of these actions can only be achieved with the cooperation of multiple organisations and to drive them forward the Town Council will establish project groups with other authorities and stakeholders including the District, County, Police, Businesses, the Environment Agency and Voluntary groups.
