Neighbourhood Plan Focus Groups

The Neighbourhood Plan Focus Group on Transport is being held on Tuesday 10th November at 7pm in the Council Chamber on Windhill.  Everyone is invited to attend so please join us.  Contact the Town Council if you need further information.

Join our Neighbourhood Plan Focus Groups

A series of Focus Groups is being held over the next few weeks on the Neighbourhood Plan for Bishop's Stortford All Saints, Central, South and part of Thorley and everyone is welcome to attend.

The meetings will be held as follows in the Council Chamber at Windhill at 7pm and last for up to two hours, with the exception of Business and Employment which starts at 5pm:

Tues 13th October (at 5pm) - Business and Employment - led by Mike Allen
Thurs 15th October –Housing and Design – led by Murray White
Tues 20th October – Education – led by Cathy Tooze
Thurs 22nd October – The Goods Yard – led by Murray White
Mon 26th October – East of Manor Links – led by Deborah Munro
Thurs 29th October – Sports, Community and Leisure – led by Colin Nicholls
Tues 3rd November – Bishop’s Stortford South - led by Alyson Bailey

The meeting on Transport was to have been held on Monday 12th October but has been postponed and the new date will be advised as soon as possible.

If you would like to attend any of the groups, please contact Bishop's Stortford Town Council so that we can ensure that numbers are catered for adequately.

Audit Complete - Accounts for 2014/2015

The audit for the year ended 31st March 2015 was completed on 29th September 2015 and the accounts are now available for inspection by local electors in accordance with Section 14 of the Audit Commission Act 1998.

Cocktail Making Class THIS Thursday

Bishop's Stortford Town Council is working in association with Waterlane Restaurant and Bar to celebrate the history of Bishop's Stortford with a a cocktail making class on Market Square this Thursday from noon-14.00. Cocktails based on Bishop's Stortford's heritage! Come along. Free Samples.

 

Cookery Demonstration Tuesday,8th September, 2015

Kiran and Urmesh Gohi founders of Spice Queen demonstrated tasty Indian recipes on Thursday 8 September at our very first cookery demonstration. Cookery demonstrations are scheduled on the second Thursday of every month on Market Square; please keep an eye on our facebook page for updated information.

Cookery Demonstration

Kiran and Urmesh Gohi founders of Spice Queen will be demonstrating tasty Indian recipes on Thursday 10th September on Market Square from 11.00-14.00. Demonstration times are as follows:

Chicken Tikka  @ 11.30am

 

Bhajiyas @ 12.15pm

 

Chana Masala @ 1.00pm

 

In addition to the above they will also have tasters of their Chicken Curry and Mumbai Potatoes which will already be cooked and will be heated through for the public. They will also be giving free samples of the above.

Bishop's Stortford Farmers and Craft Market

The Bishop's Stortford Farmers and Craft Market will be held the first Saturday of the month, with the exception of August, in North Street from 09.30-13.30 and will feature local produce and craft.

Bishop's Stortford Neighbourhood Plan

We are holding further Open Days on the Neighbourhood Plan for All Saints, Central, South and part of Thorley on 17th and 19th September 2015 in Jackson Square so please put the dates in your diary now!

If you didn't have time to visit our exhibition at Rhodes on 27th June and would like to come and find out more, please join us at Jackson Square in the former Cloud9 Store on either Thursday 17th September or Saturday 19th September between 9.30am and 4.30pm. There will be an exhibition on neighbourhood planning and a chance to give your feedback. You can have a quick browse, vote on some of our policies,  or talk in detail with members of the Neighbourhood Plan Team. They will be there to talk to you further and to answer any questions.

The plan covers several areas and there will be the displays on each of the following topics:
