Bishops Stortford Carnival - Saturday June 22nd 2013

The parade starts at 12.30pm from South Road and ends at Sworder's Field where the Fun Day will continue until 5pm.   

You may enter the parade as a Club, Community Organisation, Business or an group of friendds or Individual.   Entry is free.  You may collect for your chosen charity (subject to licensing rules).  Fun day pitches are also available at a reasonable price.

Bishop's Stortford History

The town of Bishop's Stortford took its origin from, and has grown up around, the ford over the river, which is now known as the Stort. Archaeological evidence shows that the Romans had several roads across the area, at least one of which crossed the river in the vicinity of what are now known as the Town Meads.

Rhodes Arts Complex & Bishop's Stortford Museum

A contemporary venue for the arts and the home of the Bishop’s Stortford Museum and Thorleybourne Gallery. The Complex provides a varied programme of arts events and hosts professional touring productions, dance groups, musicians and comedians.
