  • The Countess of Warwick Country Show

    The Arena schedule has been finalised and the full programme of events this year includes a Victorian riding display by the horses from Audley End as well as Peter and Patricia Jackson’s Shire Horses. There are competitions for children, including tug of war, egg and spoon and sack races. The animal parade is one of the highlights, with proud owners showing their stock. Look out for the dog racing…guaranteed to make you laugh, as dogs go in all directions! An excellent display of dressage riding and sheepdog skills will also take place.

    Also see the animal marquee, horticultural show, the ploughing match, food, music, shopping, artisan tent and bar.

    Parking £10 per car.

  • Taster Health Walks

    Health Walks are part of a countrywide programme of free, led walks, helping everyone get outdoors, get more active and reap the benefits.

    We want to establish a programme of health walks that include Castle Park.

    Come along to one of the taster sessions to see what they are like, and if you enjoy them please sign up as a walker or a leader and help us get this fantastic sociable and healthy activity happening regularly.

    Our resident Jazz Quintet, Que Pasa, will explore and improvise in a range of musical languages, from Jazz, through Cuban to modern and home-grown. Featuring internationally renowned players Pete Lemer on keys, Paul Robinson on drums, Steve Cook on bass, with Adam Amor on sax and brilliant trumpet player Paul Higgs. Between them they have worked with acts such as Nina Simone, Grace Jones, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Ginger Baker, Mike Oldfield, The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
