    Saturday 2nd December 2017 at Grange Paddocks. 1K route 10.45am start,  5k route 11am start. Entrants can run, jog, skip or walk either or both routes.  Santa entry (13 plus) £12 including santa suit.  Reindeer entry (12 years and under) £6 includes Reindeer antlers and medal. To register please visit website www.mencapgrovecottage.org   All proceeds to Grove Cottage.

  • Saffron Walden Museum Decorate the Christmas Tree

  • Castle Park Health Walks

    Walks take place on the 2nd Friday and the last Tuesday of every month.

    Health Walks are part of a countrywide programme of free, led walks, helping everyone get outdoors, get more active and reap the benefits.

    We want to establish a programme of health walks that include Castle Park.

    Come along to one of the walks to see what they are like, and if you enjoy them please sign up as a walker or a leader and help us get this fantastic sociable and healthy activity happening regularly.

    For all events, please meet at the entrance to the park by the Link Road car park.

    11am - 11.30am Grade 1

    1pm - 1.45pm Grade 2

    First Steps is our easiest walk, 20 - 30 mins, flat and even ground, gentle pace, no stiles, regular stopping places

    Grade 1 is an easy walk, 30 mins, about 1.5 miles, gentle hills, no stiles

    Grade 2 is an easy/moderate walk, 45 mins, about 2 miles, moderate hills
