Bishop's Stortford Neighbourhood Plan - Newsletter No. 2


Draft objectives and policies for Green Spaces have now been published and are available to read and download at  These policies are still at an early draft stage and are subject to change but in the meantime we welcome your feedback. You can make comments on these and other sections already published by writing to us or by using the Add New Comment tab on the relevant pages.

Focus Groups

We are planning to hold a series of Focus Groups on various aspects of the plan with interested parties in order to get their input. These will be held at Bishop's Stortford Town Council Chambers in Windhill from 7.00pm to 9.00pm as follows:

  • Business - 13 June
  • Community (including Schools, Health, Sports) - 18 June
  • Transport - 20 June
  • Green Spaces and Environment - 25 June
  • Housing and Design - 27 June

Consultation Day

Bishop's Stortford Town Council is also holding an Open Day at Rhodes on Saturday, 20 July from 9.30am to 3.30pm where you can attend an exhibition and workshops on the draft Neighbourhood Plan for Silver Leys and Meads Wards. There will be an opportunity to comment on the objectives and policies that have been developed so far and suggest others that could be included. There will also be presentations on Neighbourhood Planning in general for those who would like to know more about the process.  These will be held at 10.00am, 12.00pm and 2.00pm but please feel free to join us at any time during the day.

Further bulletins will be issued from time to time as the plan progresses and further draft sections of the plan will be published at as they evolve.
